Got a cute dog? Love our collars? then you should submit your your dog's photo for consideration as one of The Artful Canine's cover models! If your dog is chosen, you could win a $100 for you and a $25 Gift Card if your dog's image is published on our website.
All you need to do is follow our guidelines below and submit a photo that you think is awesome! Here's our guidlines:
- We need a great shot of your dog in a collar
If its a snap on collar, a good front or 3/4 view of your dog with a clear view of the collar, it's design, and the buckle. If it's a martingale, you'll probably need a second pair of hands, as we need to see the collar on leash so that it is obvious that the collar is a martingale. Hint: one of the tricks we use to get our dogs to "strike a pose" is a "treat tease" - we show our doggy models the treat to get their attention, and then move it to a position where you have a good shot of the collar. If you've got a dog that "sits" for treats, this will be fairly easy for you.
- Proper lighting and color balance
Most digital cameras will take care of this for you. Just be sure you have the proper lighting (outdoors in daytime (with sun above you, no heavy shadows) is best.
- A high resolution digital image
You'll notice we use a lot of colorful backgrounds to make our pups look extra cute in our collars. So long as your photo is taken at a medium to high resolution (1600 pixels or more), we can take out the background to do our creative work.
- Take several pictures at once.
If you take several pictures during your "photo shoot you are covered should one come out a little blurry or if your dog blinked at the wrong time.
- Submit your pictures to us
Email them as attachments to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will contact you if we think we can use your pup (and your photography talents) for our products. If chosen, we will send you products to photograph your dogs in.
