RETURN POLICIES & INSTRUCTIONS

EXCHANGES

Just need a different size? We try to make exchanges easy.

  • Need it Fast? Best thing to do is purchase the size you want on a new order, and return what you have for a refund. Make a note on your return that you ordered a different item on a new order, and we will refund any shipping that you paid for on the new order.
  • Not in a Hurry? If you aren't in a hurry, return your item with a note telling us what you need. There are no fees for size/style exchanges, so long as the item being returned and the item being requested are the same price. Please note that customized items cannot be returned for exchange, as noted in the "Refunds" section below.
  • If there is any difference in price between the item you are returning and the item you want for the exchange, you will be charged/refunded accordingly.
REFUNDS

We are confident that any of the products you purchase from The Artful Canine will meet you and your canine companion's expectations. However if you do find it necessary to return an item, please note the following:

  • Merchandise must be returned in new, unused & unsoiled condition. With exception to custom or made-to-order items*, your purchase can be exchanged or returned for any reason up to 45 days after receipt. 
  • Sorry, custom made products cannot be returned and are non-refundable. If the item you purchase doesn't fit, we can sometimes alter it. There is a nominal fee for doing so. Please contact us if this is your situation.
  • Defective merchandise that does not stand up to our 1 year guarantee may be returned for a replacement or store credit. Please review our guarantee and what it covers before contacting us about defective products for authorization and instructions.
  • Returned Orders with Free Shipping will incur a $5.99 restocking fee (charged only when all items in the order are returned for a refund).
  • Shipping costs associated with returning items for refund or exchange are the responsibility of the buyer and are not refundable. 
    • If you are exchanging your order, we suggest returning via USPS Ground Advantage shipping, which is the most economical. You can obtain a prepaid return label from the Artful Canine for a small fee of $4.00. This makes returning your item easy - we will email you the label, and all you have to do is put your return in your mailbox for USPS carrier pickup.
