This collar is great for leash training or dogs that are very strong "pullers" on leash. Fabric martingales will wear out more quickly from the friction that occurs with dogs that are always pulling on leash - that's why this martingale style works well. The metal loop is extremely durable and long-lasting. This collar is adjustable, but you want to be mindful that the D-rings do not touch when on leash. Note that nylon will stretch up to 15% during the first 1 - 3 weeks of wear, so readjusting the collar to fit may be necessary.
